After discussing How to Fix ERR_QUIC_PROTOCOL_ERROR, this time the admin will discuss How to Fix Error 0xE8000015. In modern times, humans and mobile devices seem inseparable. Cellphones and tablets are very important items because of their function as communication tools.

Many people also use mobile devices like computers. Therefore, access issues related to security are absolute. iPhone and iPad include many security features such as fingerprint and passcode checking. That keeps iDevices well protected, but it can also cause problems. For example, young children repeatedly enter the wrong passcode.

Entering the wrong passcode several times in succession will disable the iPhone or iPad. First, the device will be disabled for 1 minute, then for 60 minutes, and finally, it will be disabled until you connect the iDevice via iTunes.

An error message will display: “iPhone or iPad is disabled. Connect to iTunes”. But you don’t need to worry, experienced iDevice users know that unblocking a device via iTunes is easy.

But if you connect your iPhone or iPad (or even iPod) to your computer and a different error message appears like: “iTunes could not connect to this iPhone (or another iDevice) because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000015)”. Then you can’t unblock the device.

How to Fix Error 0xE8000015 ?

Restart Mobile Device

If you encounter any errors, we recommend that the first thing you need to do is restart the device. The iDevice owner should know how to properly restart the device. To restart a previous iPhone 8 or iDevice, press and hold the Side or Top button until the slider appears. Then, drag the slider to turn off iPhone. Wait a few seconds for the system to completely shut down, then hold down the Side or Top button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restarting the iPhone X is a little different. Press and hold the Side button or volume button until the slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off iPhone X. Again, wait a few seconds to make sure the device is turned off completely. Press and hold the same button, and once the Apple logo appears, let go.

Check Network Connection

Many users have reported that the 0xE8000015 error is caused by a network connection problem. To avoid this frustrating situation, make sure the iDevice is properly connected to a stable network connection.

To check mobile data connection, go to device Settings, select Cellular, and reset the connection by turning it off. Wait a few seconds and turn on mobile data. If you are using a Wi-Fi network, go to Settings and select Wlan, reset the connection by disabling it, wait a few seconds and then turn it back on. Make sure the device is within range of a Wi-Fi network.

Make sure iDevice has enough free space

This error can also be caused by a lack of space available on the mobile device. If you experience problems related to insufficient memory on your drive, delete unnecessary files or backup files first (and then delete them). This method will save space on the device.

Remove iOS Device Restrictions

Anyone with access to your mobile device can activate restrictions by mistake. When restrictions are enabled, mobile devices will block connections, including iTunes. To check if any restrictions have been set, go to Settings, select General, and select Restrictions. Tap Disable restriction and confirm the action by entering a passcode.

Empty Lockdown Folder

The final step and one of the most efficient steps is to delete the locked folder. Many users confirmed that after deleting this particular folder the error 0xE8000015 disappears. This step works on both Mac and Windows operating systems.

To replace the files in the lock folder on Mac OS, launch Finder and click Open in the top menu of your screen, select Go to Folder, then type/var / DB / lockdown and press the back key. Once the folder appears, click View and choose to view the files as Icons.

Delete all files, but don’t delete the folder. To remove files from the lockdown folder on the Windows operating system, click the Search icon or click Start and select Run. Then, type% ProgramData% and press Return or Enter on the keyboard. Open the Apple folder and then delete the entire Lockdown folder. Delete both files in the locked folder and folders.
