Adding videos to Microsoft Word documents, on the other hand, is another issue that users may not consider or undertake to add to the completeness of the document. As a result, your document will be different from other documents, where you can play videos via Ms Word.

How to Insert Video into Microsoft Word
Here are the steps for adding a video to a Microsoft Word document. To get started, open your Word document and enable developer options. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Open your Word document and open ” File “.
2. Then click ” Options ” (see image below).
3. Then select and click ” Customize Ribbon “.
4. Check the box in front of ” Developer ” and click ” Ok “.
After you follow these steps, you will see a Developer tab on your Word document as shown below.
Now you are ready to insert your video into your Word document. Click the ” Developer tab “, go to Controls, and click the icon labeled ” Legacy Tools ” as shown in the image below.
Click on ” Legacy Tools ” and then from the drop-down menu (under ActiveX Controls) click on the icon labeled ” More Controls ” and a dialog box like the one below will appear. Scroll down until you find ” Windows Media Player “, select it, and click the ” Ok ” button.
After you click on the Ok button, you will see Windows Media Player displayed on your Word document (as shown below). This stage is also the perfect time to adjust the height and width of your Media Player by dragging the player margins. You have to make these adjustments now because they won’t be able to be done afterward.
Windows Media Player will not play any content at this time. To load content into Windows Media Player, follow the steps below.
Right-click on Windows Media Player and select ” Properties “. You will see a box at the far left of your screen as below. Click Categorized in the box displayed on your screen to add content for Windows Media Player embedded in Word.
A dialog box (as below) will appear, allowing you to use the ” Browse ” button to search for the video that you want to add to your Word document. If so, then click the ” Ok ” button .
At this point, your video is ready to play – you just need to exit ” Design Mode “. To play your video in your Word document, go to the ” Developer Tab ” and click on ” Design Mode ” – the video will automatically start playing.
Now your video is ready to play.
To delete this video, click ” Design Mode ” again and press BackSpace.
The downside of adding offline videos (or videos stored on your computer) to a Word document is that they will only play on your PC. Videos added from your computer won’t play if you send the document to someone else.
