Zoom has launched a new feature called Immersive View which is the equivalent of the Shared mode in Microsoft Teams, and groups attendees into one virtual background that will make meetings much more engaging and collaborative. The feature was announced by Zoom at Zoomtopia 2020 and has already rolled out to Windows and macOS desktop clients.

The Immersive View Zoom feature allows the host to organize webinar attendees and panelists into one virtual background. It brings everyone in the meeting (up to 25 participants) together in a fun virtual meeting room.

If there are more than 25 participants, the additional participants will be shown in a thumbnail strip at the top of the scene. To make interactions more enjoyable, the meeting scene can be selected by the host.
